21st Century Invites Toombs and Vidalia Schools to Parent Night

Posted on by

November is Parent Engagement Month! We at Toombs Family Connection strongly encourage our parents to be active participants in their child’s education. We realize that the more engaged our parents are in their child’s education, the more successful our children will become. The 21st Century After School Program, housed at Lyons Upper Elementary School and Toombs County Middle School, has incorporated STEM into their after school enrichment classes. STEM curriculum is project-based learning that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

To celebrate Parent Engagement Month, 21st Century and Toombs Family Connection invite parents from Toombs and Vidalia School Systems to FAMILY NIGHT. The event is Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 4:50-5:50 at Lyons Upper Elementary School. You can partner with your child or family and move through the different math and science stations together. You will get a taste of what 21st Century is like and experience project-based learning firsthand. Most importantly, you will be actively engaging in your child’s education. Come on out and get involved!
